I’ve been DJing and making music since 2015. Over the years I’ve accumulated a lot of knowledge — gear I’ve bought (and some I regret), techniques I’ve developed, mistakes I’ve made repeatedly before figuring out what was wrong. Most of that knowledge exists in my head, in notes scattered across notebooks, and in videos on my YouTube channel.
This blog is where I write it down properly.
Primarily: DJs and producers who are learning. People in the early stages who want practical, honest information from someone who has been doing this for a while — not corporate content designed to sell you something, and not beginner-to-beginner advice from someone who learned last month.
I’m also writing for myself. There’s something clarifying about putting ideas into prose. It forces you to think more carefully about whether you actually understand something or just think you do.
Gear reviews — I buy equipment and use it extensively before writing about it. My reviews are based on real use, not spec sheets.
DJ technique — Beatmatching, phrasing, transitions, EQ work, effects. The things that separate competent DJs from great ones.
Music production — I make and release my own tracks. I’ll write about the production process, mistakes, things I’ve learned.
Career and mindset — How to practice well, how to approach getting booked, how to build an audience, how to sustain a music career long-term without burning out.
I won’t write about gear I haven’t used. I won’t publish beginner-level tutorials on things I haven’t practiced deeply myself. I won’t recycle content from other sites.
Every post here will be based on direct experience.
